At the tender age of 9, Kozo Komatsubara's parents took him to see the circus that was visiting his hometown. Ever since walking out of the big top he dreamed of running away with the circus. Soon after he was floored yet again by another performance at a circus, this time by a professional juggler. It was then that he decided to pursue his dream so he picked up some tennis balls and taught himself how to juggle.

Now, Kozo is one of the youngest professional performers in New Zealand. He has performed nationwide for the likes of Circus Aotearoa and Loritz Circus, as well as at various festivals, stage shows, street festivals, private functions, and corporate events.

Mixing highly skilled juggling with unbelievable magic, comedy, and dangerous stunts, Kozo will have you on the edge of your seat!

Kozo Kaos LIVE - Theatreview:

Kozo Komatsubara is an Auckland juggler with a cold, but that doesn't stop him delivering a high-energy show to an almost capacity crowd last night at the Fringe Bar. The show starts with the gothic, ninja-looking juggler performing sleight of hand magic at a furious pace matched to growly music beating out of the sound system a la Las Vegas. Just as we ooh and aaah at one deft illusion with a serious of Chinese fans and fire, the next shot is delivered eliciting well earned applause...

Lilly Loca's Vaudeville Cabaret - Theatreview:

The juggling of 19 year old Kozo Komatsubara is riveting. Billed as a speed juggler, he does indeed make his hoops and batons blur as they fly through the air. Despite the occasional (and instantly forgiven) fumble, his first act is impressively precise, working his way up to 4 batons and then 6 hoops he manages their various trajectories and his own changes of direction with deceptive ease. In the second half, his act mixes in cheeky banter as he demands greater appreciation from the audience while simultaneously juggling and feeding his body through a tennis racquet. During this, his mic, nipples and hips all present humorously managed difficulties.

Lilly Loca's Vaudeville Cabaret - Gather & Hunt Review:

Kozo. Tall, skinny, unassuming. Until he picked up three juggling clubs. Audible gasps escaped from the audience as he tossed the clubs into a blur of motion whilst spinning around and throwing over and under various body parts...
